Anapurna and Star Catcher set for Vermeille clash

Investec Oaks heroine Anapurna Seems set to Shoot on her Kerrygold Irish Oaks-winning stablemate Star Catcher from the Qatar Prix Vermeille in ParisLongchamp on Sunday.

The John Gosden-trained fillies have been absent although their respective Classic triumphs, but remain on course to clash in the Group One prize at the weekend.
It is although the choice was a straightforward one for Star Catcher.
Gosden said:”They are looking towards the Vermeille at the present time. Star Catcher constantly went into the Vermeille.
“When Magical and Enable turned up at the Yorkshire Oaks, it seemed a little bit unfair to place Anapurna against two elderly fillies of that course on her first run back because the Oaks.
“She has been in terrific form and she’ll likely run there, and at Ascot. She had time off after Epsom, as she was busy .”
When bidding for a Group 2 hat-trick at the DFS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster on Thursday enbihaar will aim to defy a penalty.
Gosden said:”We plan to visit the Park Hill with her. She could well go to the (Prix) Royallieu (in ParisLongchamp about October 5) as well, because she has three weeks between races.
“We had thought about Ireland, however, we decided to stay here and take the penalty.”
