Anapurna and Star Catcher set for Vermeille clash

Investec Oaks heroine Anapurna Appears set to take Star Catcher from the Qatar Prix Vermeille in ParisLongchamp on Sunday.

Even the John Gosden-trained fillies are absent since their respective Classic triumphs, but remain on course to clash in the Group One prize at the weekend.
Although the decision proved to be a simple one for Star Catcher, it is.
Gosden said:”They are looking towards the Vermeille at the moment. Star Catcher was constantly likely into the Vermeille.
“When Magical and Empower turned up in the Yorkshire Oaks, it looked a tiny bit unfair to place Anapurna against two elderly fillies of this class on her run back because the Oaks.
“She has been in terrific shape and she’ll probably run there, afterward in Ascot. She needed time off after Epsom, as she had been occupied early on.”
Enbihaar will aim to defy a penalty when bidding to get a Group 2 hat-trick at the DFS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster on Thursday, before a potential Group One engagement.
Gosden said:”We plan to visit the Park Hill together with her. She might well visit the (Prix) Royallieu (at ParisLongchamp on October 5) too, because she has three weeks between races.
“We’d thought about Ireland, however, we chose to stay here and take the penalty.”
